The success of Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN or “WiFi” 802.11 and soon 802.16 “WiMAX”) has propelled their use in applications never intended in the original design. More use means more demand for capacity with the corresponding increase in interference and reduction in reliable data throughput. The most efficient solution is to convert (shift) wireless traffic to higher and less crowded frequencies, both licensed and unlicensed.

The founding partners of ShieldTech Systems have over 55 years of combined experience in voice, data, wireless and secure communication systems, as well as extensive start-up experience. STS is based in Crownsville, Maryland.
